ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਚ ਠੋਸ ਅਤੇ ਤਰਲ ਰਹਿੰਦ ਖੂੰਹਦ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਹੀ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਲਾਗੂ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਐਨ.ਜੀ.ਟੀ ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡਾ ਝਟਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। NGT ਨੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ‘ਤੇ 2000 ਕਰੋੜ ਦਾ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਜੁਰਮਾਨਾ ਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
